Research and Planning: Practical and impractical trailers

For producing a trailer, me and my group must consider what genre is practical to base an idea on.
We considered:

1. Budget-complete production
2. Access- setting, casting
3. Facilities- hardware and software technology
4. SFX- what we as a group could create using after effects
5. How much of a sceptical we can create,
6. Budget in terms of costume, props and hiring settings.

An impractical trailer: The Avengers:

Reasons why:

1. Conglomerate production
2. Star actor casting
3. Extensive use of props
4. Trivial detailed special effects
5. Costume and makeup dramatics
6. Extensive SFX e.g explosions
7. Cinematography: shot types like aerial shots

Practical trailer: Kes (1969) social realism film trailer

1. Independent production
2. Not well known actors
3. School setting
4. Outdoor setting
5. Similar ideas makes easier access to facilities
