Research and planning: costume and props list for poster print
- The focal prop is the piano
- The costume is the suit
- The setting is the theatre
- The scene is the focal narrative seen most important to the character created
- The poster print overall idea is to present to the primary audience a sense of character through the expression of mise-en-scene such as body language has connotations to character vulnerability but looking for support through performing music.
- My actor will be propped against the keyboard to show the connection between what the main character values.
Research and planning: costume and props list for magazine print
- The only essential costume is a full suit. The main features of the magazine rely upon other aspects of the magazine front cover.
- I do not need props for the front cover but I am looking at editing the front cover such as a drop shadow on the side of my actors face to show connotations to characters personality.
- The idea of the main image is to promote the film and through costume and body language/ facial expressions, audiences are able to develop an interest by understanding aspects of narrative.
- The piano tie is the focal costume prop in this main image photograph. The idea of the piano tie is to demonstrate a sense of narrative within print advertisement.
- To dress smartly, he is wearing a suit which is the same costume for the audition/ theatre setting scene. This scene is the most significant for main character development/progress.
- The only difference with this photograph is that instead of wearing a piano tie, Robert is wearing a solid black tie.

Pre-production paperwork: Shot list
- All the shot types that will be used for filming. Editing will be the process where certain shots will be cut down or edited such as including an ellipses or expansion of time.
Research and planning: DAN. final film trailer storyboard
- The only frames that are missing are quote sequences which will be put in the trailer once in the editing stage.
- I mainly considered the use of sound as I am in charge of sound but I have also been contributing to the use of cinematography.

Pre-production photography: Mise-en-scene (4/4) Make up
- Considering representations of ethnicity and age, the female actors (including the extras) will wear simple makeup which is conventional of the social realism genre.
- The type of makeup they will wear will depend on what compliments skin tones.
- The reason why our main actor (Robert) will not be wearing makeup, is to adhere to the social realism genre as conventionally male actors do not wear makeup.
- The only reason makeup may be used, on the main character, is to create a tired effect using eyeshadow.

Post-Production: The editing process: paper aeroplane scene/transition
- The sound in this ISHOWU is irrelevant to analysis as the sound on premiere pro cannot be captured, without rendering the whole trailer. We decided to not render the trailer until the end of the editing process.
- Using the canon DSRL camera, Paige created a blue filter to compliment the choice of language.
- We decided that we wanted to use an expansion of time as the paper aeroplane glides through the air.
- We then dragged on our PNG saved 'the guardian' critique to increase our films credibility.
- We dragged the critique visual layer on a separate layer to the paper aeroplane footage so that it would overlap.
- Then we changed the colour to white which retains our consistent black and white writing frames.
- We have also included a dissolve transition at the start and end of the paper aeroplane clip
