Research and planning: upper tier of film magazine

  • I've started to construct my film magazine to go with the promotion of the film trailer. The colour scene includes, white, black, blue with exceptions of colours like kaki in order to draw emphasis on features such as puffs.
  • I've considered use of language that appeals to my intended target audience of 15-21 years of age and the secondary audience which is possible pyschographics like past and present students that the film will appeal to.
  • Language includes unique selling point of magazine edition such as exclusives which increases magazine value.
  • The upper tier includes strapline which I need to change to 'World's". The strapline becomes a quote that builds brand awareness as it will be a re-occurring feature that will be in all 'Spotlight editions'.
  • The masthead typography is used throughout each edition however, through editions, the colour scheme changes to fit the main images genre. In this case, the colour scheme used will be conventional and has connotations to the social-realism film genre.
