Post-Production: Magazine process two: front cover

• I have used photoshop to create my magazine front cover. I have created a colour scheme of kaki/gold, blue, black and white because the colours have connotations to the films tone and main character characterisation.
• I have used pen tool on the main image to get rid of the background of the main image.
• I have included coverlines with different typography as done in inspirational magazine front covers/ existing magazine front covers.
• I have also changed the mastheads colours and the "spot" is in a shade of gold to have connotations to "fame and fortune," which relates to the goal of the main character.
• To improve the magazine I will:

1. Add a shadow on the main image- the effect has connotations to depression/ secrets which will be implied through the main image's magazines advertisement.
2. Add a box to create a ribbon effect- possibly red to have a red carpet connotations
3. Move the strapline
4. Get rid of the exclusive 'puff'
5. Expand the pull quote
