Research and planning: costume and props list for magazine print

  • The only essential costume is a full suit. The main features of the magazine rely upon other aspects of the magazine front cover.
  • I do not need props for the front cover but I am looking at editing the front cover such as a drop shadow on the side of my actors face to show connotations to characters personality.
  • The idea of the main image is to promote the film and through costume and  body language/ facial expressions, audiences are able to develop an interest by understanding aspects of narrative.
  •  The piano tie is the focal costume prop in this main image photograph. The idea of the piano tie is to demonstrate a sense of narrative within print advertisement.
  • To dress smartly, he is wearing a suit which is the same costume for the audition/ theatre setting scene. This scene is the most significant for main character development/progress.
  • The only difference with this photograph is that instead of wearing a piano tie, Robert is wearing a solid black tie.
